As automotive enthusiasts, we think everyone should be able to experience the thrill and excitement of getting behind the wheel. That’s why we’re delighted to announce our new sponsorship of Speed of Sight.

Founded in 2012 by Mike Newman and his friend John Galloway, Speed of Sight is a charity offering driving experiences for differently-abled individuals. This includes those with visual impairments, as well as those with serious or life-limiting illnesses.

Mike, who was born completely blind, has made numerous TV appearances, set several Guinness World Records for speed and featured in ad campaigns for Audi Italia and Michelin tyres. He has even been listed 8th in the Power 100 of Britain's most influential disabled people.

Through Speed of Sight, it’s Mike’s mission to promote driving opportunities for children and adults of all abilities. The charity runs track days in a number of locations across the UK, from the breath-taking backdrop at Trac Môn Anglesey to the tight twists of Three Sisters.

Speed of Sight has developed a range of specially-adapted cars – which includes four racing cars and three all-terrain buggies, all with dual controls and twin steering wheels – each named after one of Mike’s guide dogs.

Demon Conversions are proud to join the charities Inspire 25 Club, supporting the incredible work done by Mike and his team.
